Shipping Guidelines When Using SavvyBroker

Created by Mark Morales, Modified on Tue, 9 Sep at 10:59 AM by Mark Morales

To help you avoid customs delays and ensure seamless delivery, please follow these essential shipping guidelines when shipping with the new SavvyBroker.

Tracking Updates

Tracking may take 2–5 business days to appear after your shipment is manifested.

This is completely normal, no action is required during this time.

Prohibited Items (Strictly Not Allowed)

To prevent customs holds or rejections, do not ship any of the following items through the ShipSavvy broker:

  • Food products

  • FDA or PGA regulated items

  • Cosmetics

  • Medical devices

  • Prescription or non-prescription medicines

If you're unsure whether an item falls into these categories, please contact our support team before shipping.

CUSMA Certification (Formerly NAFTA)

If you select CUSMA in the portal:

  • You must include a valid CUSMA certificate with the shipment.

  • This certificate should be Attached to the outside of the package.

Failure to provide a CUSMA certificate may result in shipment rejection and customs fines or penalties at the border.

Declared Value Guidelines

When declaring the value of your shipment:

  • Always declare the full retail value of each item.

  • Do not declare the purchase price or a discounted amount.

  • Misrepresentation may lead to:

    • Customs delays

    • Fines or penalties

    • Shipment rejection or return

Being transparent about your shipment’s value protects you from unnecessary issues during border clearance.
